Play & Learn Volunteer

As a Play & Learn Volunteer, you will assist with Kaleidoscope Play & Learn (KPL) groups for children ages 5 and under in community settings such as libraries and parks. This is a great opportunity to support early childhood education while gaining hands-on experience. Volunteers help facilitators prepare the space, welcome children and caregivers, and support engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote school readiness.

3 hours per day, based on your availability.

Specific Job Qualifications for this Position

Volunteer Duties

  • Set up the activity space before each session.
  • Welcome children and caregivers, assist with sign-in, and help with name tags.
  • Support children, caregivers, and facilitators throughout the session.
  • Organize toys and materials as needed.
  • Assist with cleanup after each session according to program standards.
