At Denise Louie Education Center (DLEC), we understand that good health is foundational to early learning success. Our team is committed to helping families access health services in their community so that families thrive and children are ready to learn. This year, DLEC is partnering with Public Health – Seattle & King County’s Access and Outreach program (A&O) to help families renew their Apple Health insurance. The Apple Health program includes Children’s Medicaid, Adult Medicaid, Pregnancy Medicaid, and Family Planning services.

With the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, families and individuals with Apple Health will need to renew their health insurance this year. People are at risk of losing their coverage if they do not take important steps to renew their plans. DLEC and A&O are working together to inform families of this change and to help them with the renewal process. Read this blog post to learn more about how to renew your Apple Health insurance. Also available En Español.

If you are an Apple Health client, take these important steps to make sure you do not lose coverage:

  • Check your account to make sure your contact information is up to date (at https://www.wahealthplanfinder.org/).
  • Be on the lookout for a letter or email about renewal.
  • If you get a letter or message, take action.
  • If you have any confusion or questions, contact your DLEC Family Service Specialist (FSS), Home Visitor (HV), or get help from an A&O Navigator at the King County CHAP Line (800-756-5437).
