SEATTLE, March 28, 2019 — Denise Louie Education Center (DLEC) has received a $7,000 sponsorship grant from East West Bank for DLEC’s 2019 Dinner & Auction Community Sponsor. East West Bank’s unrestricted support will allow DLEC to continue providing critical early education and family support services to nearly 600 low-income, immigrant and refugee children and their caregivers. DLEC’s Dinner & Auction will celebrate 41 years of serving Seattle families, and will be hosted on Saturday, October 12 at Sodo Park.

Constantly engaging with its community, East West Bank hosted DLEC preschoolers for a field trip at their International District branch. Children learned about how the bank works and were given a tour of the vaults. “East West Bank has long been active in the Seattle community, we are so grateful for their continued investment in our children and families,” says DLEC Development Director, Nikki Huang.

The Denise Louie Education Center promotes school and life readiness by providing multi-cultural early learning services to children and families, especially those who need our services the most. DLEC respects and preserves each child and family’s individuality, cultural heritage, and home language, and works to promote personal and social responsibility with integrity and love in an environment defined by social justice and peace.
