Parent-Child Home Program

PCHP provides low-income families with infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3 years with the necessary skills and tools to ensure their children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life.

Early Head Start

Early Head Start is a federally funded community-based program for low-income pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers aged 0 to 3 years.

Head Start/Preschool

Head Start is a federally funded community-based program for low-income, at-risk children (three to five years old) and families.

Play & Learn

Play and Learn is a partnership between DLEC and the Seattle Public Library.

  • Ashley's class was the first to have Jumpstart students in the classroom. Jumpstart recruits, trains, supervises, and supports college students to work with early childhood programs in low-income communities such as Head Start. Today she is attending Newport High School and wants to be a Jumpstart student when she is in college.
