How You Can Help

DLEC relies on support from individuals in our community for in-kind donations of goods, services and volunteers hours, as well as financial contributions.

Volunteer

During the 2012-13 school year, community volunteers donated almost 10,000 hours to our Early Head Start and Head Start programs!

Donate

Although most of our budget comes from government grants, diversified and sustainable financial support from individuals in our community is an ongoing priority.

Jumpstart recruits, trains, supervises, and supports college students to work with early childhood programs in low-income communities such as Head Start. Today she is attending Newport High School and wants to be a Jumpstart student when she is in college.
